FACILITIES
Glamping is Most Definitely Luxury Camping

Our West Java Locations

Following over a decade of experiential program design within South East Asia, Odyssey Institute has established an exclusive partnership with two of the most exceptional residential field sites in Indonesia.

Both our strategically placed Bandung and Sukabumi “glamping” facilities are approximately a 3-4 hour drive from Jakarta, meaning travel times are kept to a minimum.

Accommodation

At both locations we offer extremely comfortable beds in luxury tents with ensuite bathrooms and hot showers. You won’t be living out of a backpack and sleeping in the dirt. No, glamping is most definitely luxury camping!

All rooms have electrical outlets and are fitted with fans. Due to the cool, fresh forest air we do not find that any AC is necessary.

Our Bandung facility can accommodate up to 160 people. The tents are spread out across the side of a valley which is surrounded by agricultural forests and shaded coffee plantations.

Our Sukabumi facility currently accommodates up to 100 people. Situated inside the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, this unique facility is surrounded by virgin rainforest and accessed via a jaw-dropping 250m suspension bridge (the longest in South East Asia).

Both sites have indoor meeting spaces and covered outdoor areas suitable for big group games, workshops and presentations.

Additional toilet and shower blocks and hand washing stations are centrally located in meeting areas to help facilitate peak time use and keep everyone on schedule.

Although we strongly encourage a week of “digital detox” for students, wifi connectivity is available for teachers and facilitators at most points throughout our campsites.

We can offer exclusive access at both facilities and 24 hour security is always provided.

Catering

Delicious fresh meals are served buffet style at any one of a number of onsite locations and most dietary restrictions are easily accommodated.

Drinking water is available via gallons stationed in every tent and every eating area and students are regularly encouraged to refill their water bottles. We do not use any single use plastic drinking bottles at camp.

Please note: we have a safety policy of no peanuts in any of our food during camps.
